CDGの2012－13秋冬コレクションが先日パリで発表され、デザイナーの川久保が久しぶりに圧巻とも言えるコレクションを発表した。
テーマはディメンション。立体を捨てた平面の服。フラットさとミニマリズムを強調し、まるで巨大な折り紙を切り取ったペーパーアートのような世界。
隙間なくペタンコに縫われた服は、身体が入ると、微妙な傾斜と厚みで立体化される。
身体に合わせて服を作るのでなく、服に身体を合わせる。身体と服のかかわり合いを逆転させてしまった、全く新しい服が登場した。
カラーは前シーズンまでから一転、鮮やかで美しい原色が並び、ヘアスタイルも本当に可愛いくて素敵。
今年の秋冬は、前髪部分だけ原色のカラーリングなんて素敵なんじゃないでしょうか。
なお、海外のWWD.comのサイトのコラムによると、今回のショーに込めた川久保玲氏のメッセージは「未来は二次元」だそう。
このメッセージについて、「現代のテクノロジー社会、そして、かなりの時間を平面のコンピュータースクリーンにしがみついて過ごしている私たちに対する挑発的な本質を突いている。真っ平らのファッションに立ち戻ることで、川久保氏は、膨大なボリュームと色、というしばしば能力が試される２つの次元に焦点を当てている。」と言及。
細かいデザインが、正面ではなく背中側にあったとしても、実際に会場にいる観客以外は誰も気づいていないという現状がある。
テクノロジーの発達によって、3次元のショーや洋服は瞬時にネット上に平面（2次元）になり世界中に配信される。このように、フラットになったファッション産業に対する辛辣な批判、皮肉を込めつつも、見かけは可愛くて鮮やかな世界観を提示した今期のCGD。
２次元化されてしまうというデザインの危機に対し、真っ向から挑むのではなく、あえて自らが平面的な作品を創ってしまう、というニヒルな切り口がいかにも川久保らしい。

今、最も注目される芸術家の一人、Stephen Gillは1971年、イギリス・ブリストル生まれの写真家である。
父親にフィルム撮影や現像などを教わり、幼い頃から写真に触れて育つ。大学卒業後マグナム・フォトで働き、1997年に独立。
新聞の仕事などで稼ぎながら作品を撮りためていき、次第に評価を受けるように。2005年により自由な表現を目指して、作品の出版・販売を行う《NOBODY》を設立。
一度現像した写真を一定期間地中に埋めて掘り出したり、写真に草花をコラージュした作品など、独特でユニークな写真の解釈を試み、
世界中の美術館・ギャラリーで展示され多くのファンを獲得している。
今回ご紹介するのは“Hackney Flowers”と言う写真集の中の作品だ。舞台は、イースト・ロンドンの町ハックニー。
そこで撮影した日常の風景とポートレイトを印刷。その写真の上に、土地で採取した花、植物、種などをのせて再度撮影・再構築する。
すると、色彩で言うと灰色や茶色が多いハックニーの町のささやかな日常風景に、色彩が、鮮やかに浮かび上がり、
ハックニーの街並みをステファンの思い描く不思議な色鮮やかな果樹園へと作りかえていく。

日本では全く紹介されていないEugène Galien-Laloue（1854 - 1941）は、主に秋から冬にかけてパリの何気ない日常を叙情的かつ美しく描く画家だ。
1854年12月11日パリで生まれた彼は、12月11日モンマルトルの1854年、9人兄弟の末っ子に生まれた。彼が16歳の時父親Charlsが逝去し、学校を辞めざる得なくなり、
母親Endoxieが彼に地元の公証人で仕事を見つけた。その後すぐに民族的衝動より入隊することになる。
1870-1871年Franco-Prussian戦争後、画家になろうと決心する。軍に参加するという強い衝動は、血みどろの戦争に対して、
その間に見たことを忘れようと絵を描くという事に没頭していく。

Eugene Galien Laloue
(1854 – 1941)
He was born on December 11, 1854 in Montmartre, the oldest of eventually nine children. His father, Charles, died when he was sixteen years old, after which point his mother, Endoxie, found him a job at the local notary. He left school to fill the position. But shortly after he felt the nationalistic urge to enlist in the military. Quitting his job and faking his name in 1871, he left for his military duty which led him through the end of the Franco-Prussian war of 1870-1871. By then he had decided to become a painter. For such an eager participant in the military, to turn immediately to painting must have been a reaction against the bloody events of the Franco-Prussian war; a way to forget what he had seen. In 1874 he was employed by the French Railway lines as an illustrator, depicting the rail track that was being laid from Paris to the provinces. Concurrently he began painting the surrounding landscapes as well.

ファッションとはクリエーションが全てだと言う事をあらためて僕たちに示してくれた。
サラは今回のコレクションを、「女性が女性であるがゆえの美しさを最大限に引き出した」と語っている。
ボディラインに美しく沿う繊細なシフォン、ラグジュアリーなレースを幾重にも重ねて装飾されたアーティスティックで新しい世界観。
マックイーンの前衛的な精神を受け継ぎながら、女性デザイナーであるサラらしさと女性らしさを見事に組み込む事に成功している。
個人的には、ヴィクター＆ロルフと並び今後のクリエーションが最も楽しみなデザイナーの一人である。
